Chloe's First Birthday!

Alan and Jacqui invited us to Dinner to help celebrate Chloe's first birthday. So of course we had to take some pictures. These are Chloe's other grandparents Hank and Renee (Jacqui's Mom & Dad)And of course Chloe with her parents.Jacqui fixed us these great Chicken Enchilada's and they were so good. But Ethan just would not take a bite. You can see here how dramatic he was about having to eat that chicken. He loved the strawberry jello salad though. After dinner we got to watch her open her presents. She had fun with that. It is always amazing to watch babies so fascinated with paper. She loved her dolls and the little xylophone. I hope mom still loves the the music. Then of course the Obligatory pictures of the birthday cake. Her cake was so cute with all the polkadots. At first she wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but she got the hang of it and as you can tell enjoyed it.
Jacqui made little party hats for the kids during the day. Kaitlyn wasn't too into it by the time we remembered to put them on the kids. Then I caught Jacqui doing a photoshoot of Chloe after it all. Her pictures turn out way better than mine. But I got one of Jacqui taking the pictures.

Janette

So I know I am about 3 weeks behind in my blogging and I have a few things I wanted to post, so I am going to do some catch up.
I took Janette out on her 9th Birthday to celebrate. Woo Hoo! She is getting to be so grownup. We had fun eating icecream and then going to the toy store and picking out a toy. She had a hard time making up her mind. But she finally picked something that she wanted. We had a good time and it was fun to get to know her a little better. By the way, I didn't lock my keys in the car this time. So no drama.

Happy April Birthdays

We have a lot of birthdays in April, so we decided to celebrate them all at once before Priesthood session of conference. It just so happened that it was Dan's actual birthday and so he went first. He turned 32 - I can't believe I have a 32 year old child.
Next, was Logan since his was the previous day, we let him go next. He was really excited to open some more gifts and get the 7 dollars in his card.
Then came Janette. Her birthday is latter this week and she is turning 9. She is growing up to be such a beautiful young woman. It is going too fast. She was excited to get a journal and she even showed me what she wrote in it. She has really good handwriting.
Chloe was last, because she really didn't know what was going on anyway. She had fun ripping the paper and was kind of interested in the toy baby.
We got a pretty good group shot of the birthday kids.
After the party, the guys left for Priesthood and the kids and the girls hung out. Here's Lex and Haden acting like they love each other. They were having fun playing in one of our easy chairs so I had to get a picture.
Then I thought, I should get one of Connor and Jason. They are best buds too.
This is what all the boys do when they come to GrammaRita's - Do you get the feeling that we are raising a bunch of computer geeks? Just kidding. I am amazed at what they can do on the computer. So that was the birthdays in our neck of the woods. I know that several other family members have birthdays this month too, so Happy Birthday to you all too. Love ya

Logan Turns Seven

.
Logan turned 7 years old and I took him out for ice cream and a trip to the store to pick out a toy. We got our ice cream and headed to the Big K and didn't find what we wanted so we headed over to the Walmart and I guess my mind just wasn't where it should've been and I hopped out of the car and was making sure Logan got out fine and I locked the car and we hurried in to the store and found what we wanted and as we returned to the car, lo and behold I couldn't find my keys and realized the exhaust was coming out of the car. I had locked my keys in the car with it still running - Senior Moment? or just plain stupid. Anyway, Jared came and picked up Logan and John came to my rescue with a key for the car. I need to pack an extra one in my purse, I guess. This isn't the first time this has happened. Jared took our picture with his IPhone - It takes a pretty good pictures. Logan said it was his best day and his worst day. I was so sorry I had to make it part of his worst day. But I think he got over it real fast. He got to go home to a birthday party with his friends
