What Happened in FEBRUARY?

Well, I will tell you what happened in February. Our continuing saga of the Mud Room. So once again we had to move out the washer and dryer so we could finally tile. The fellow showed up early in the day and worked all day long and we got it done. After a couple of days we were able to return the washer and dryer back in the mudroom on pedestals this time. (we decided that it was just too low for a couple of old people to bend way down and get those wet clothes out and transfer them into the dryer) I must say I really think the pedastals were worth it.

Another thing I did most of January and February was make crocheted Snowflakes.  I first started making up the ones that I had patterns of already. Then I decided to go online and found many others that I did.  I must have made over 60 different snowflake patterns.  That's what is fun about the snowflakes - no two are alike.  I finally ran out of patterns and the desire to make any more.  Thank goodness.

So here are my cute 3 little granddaughters that happened to all be together and so I did a little photo shoot with them.  They are going to be best friends as they grow up, we hope!

Valentines Day was the big project of the month.  If you look closely, each card had the childs picture on their valentine card.  This year along with the usual candy, I decided to get them all red polar fleece shirts or hoodies.  I had a time finding all of them, but eventually I was able to get one for everybody.  I think they enjoyed them for the rest of the winter months.  Below is Alan and Jacquis little sweethearts.
Next came Kathryn and Jared's crew.  They were so excited about showing me all they got at school that day.  I always enjoyed Valetine's Day when I was school.  Especially coming home and looking through all of the Valetines I got.
Lastly, I was finally able to catch Dan's group of boys.  When I got there Connor was out playing with friends and so I got to wait a bit and play with Garrick and Haden.  I remember when I was little we used to run up and place an anonymous valentine on a porch and ring the doorbell and run.  Everybody did.  That was the fun of valentines day for us.
Later in the month Jared had a conference to attend and wanted Kathryn to go with him, so they asked me to tend their kids.  So we had a few days where I got to stay with them.  It was fun, but I didn't take too many pictures.
Jason just cracks me up.  At dinner one night the kids were talking about how he usually won't eat chicken and at this dinner he was eating it and he said "I find this chicken surprisingly pleasant". I thought that was so funny coming out of a seven year old.  Then I asked him if he liked steak and he said "Yes! I like a big juicy steak" and then Logan interrupted and said "No you don't" and immediately Jason shot back with a menacing tone and said "You don't control me" then Logan said "Well, Dad does "and Jason replied "No he doesn't, Mom does"- then we all just started laughing.  They are so funny are really getting their personalities.  Boy, and Kimber she just kind of rules the roost.  She pretty much gets her way or she just glares at you, but she is also very cuddly when she wants too.
The kids were so good and loved to show me what they did in school that day. I have such great grandkids. I love it!
So that is pretty much my February.
