Hawaiian Skies

Last night we were able to finally catch a sunset up in Kaanapali. I love the palm trees in silouette.
We drove up to Haleakala, hoping to get a clear day. When we got up there we found out that the road was closed until 5:00 pm and it was 4:30 so we had to wait a while, so we hiked to a lookout over the crater and it was beautiful. You can see the cinder cones behind us.We were up over 10,000 feet and Derek was trying to call John and couldn't get a signal. While we were there the clouds came up and we were far above them. Everywhere we looked we could see clouds. Kind of like being on a plane. The sun was setting and we got this cool picture.

I love that picture of the sunset. I might just have to get a copy.
