Grandma lived almost a 100 years. Almost 50 of those years as a widow. She was an amazing woman who had 13 children and raised 12 into adulthood. Out of those, 10 remained active in the church and raised large families all active in the church. Her posterity is great and I am truly blessed to be a part of that posterity.
Her father was Peter Howard McBride who came over with the Martin Handcart Company. His headstone was in the same cemetary. Sadly he had 9 children die in infancy. He had two wives and my grandma came from his second wife, Laura.
After we visited the Pima Cemetary, we were off to visit the Safford Cemetary, where my Dad and brother were buried.
Marlin always like yellow, so we replaced his flowers with yellow ones. This Cemetary lies below the Graham Mountains. It was a favorite place to visit for our whole family.

We visited my cousin who lives in Safford. They built their home on some property that my Grandpa Burrell owned. Just a few years ago the family finally sold the land and now it is being subdivided. One of the streets were named for the Burrell family. Cool!
It was a fun trip and after some mishaps with the car and an extremely long detour trying to get to Mesa and some ill health we finally made it back home in one piece. Here we are on the way home just admiring the view.
